Two Diverged Road


Two Diverged Road
Which would you take?



to be true enough
there won't be just two diverged road
it might be three, four or more than that
still, with all those choices
we are yet to choose our own path

one of the poem - my own favourite
'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost
(although at 1st thought it was written by Roald Dahl)
probably it's one of my favvy -
because 1) 1st poem read once had the literature book; 2) simple & understoodable
here's going the poem

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

it just so simplified and mostly during the exam period, how I wish the question of this poem is been asked
somehow, this poem really portraying our life
difference is, the road in front might not just TWO
and, frequently (as young adult, which I prefer) nowadays,chose the path that 'less traveled'
and, very soon, we felt bad with our decision
that's just so of people this age ( not forgotten included me >.<)

however, I did try to adapt in
at least  it's something I can do, than mourning or pitying on myself
plus, it might just turn out to be something 'nice' than imagined
so.....it might not be bad after all...

(p/s: I roughly can remember the poem anyway, some part of it though, hence, mostly is edited through Wikipedia)





(pp/s: Reading 'Twilight' recently after watching 'Breaking Dawn' - really a good movie than expected :) will write some of it if gotta chance)
